The insider tip among Berliners: A hike into the Müggelberge
This hike takes us to the southeast of Berlin and to one of Berlin’s most popular destinations of the lake, the Müggelsee. The hike leads along the Müggelsee, which is the largest lake in Berlin. Here are many swimming areas. From there it goes into the Müggelberge. The Müggelberge are full of deciduous and coniferous trees that invite you to breathe deeply. The Great Müggelberg (115m) is the largest natural elevation of Berlin and on the small Müggelberg you fine the Müggelturm – a beautiful lookout tower, from which you can see all the greens of this area. Here lies the Teufelssee, a lake which was created as a moor during the Ice Age. There is a lot to discover and, above all, time to clear your mind of everyday stress.
